Carrier resistance to Skype hurting Lumia

Skype should be integrated into every phone iOS, Android, Blackberry 10 etc. WP fans are going to hate me but it makes someones life easier to move to the WP ecosystem if they have become acustomed to Skype on their iPhones instead of Facetime.

Has anyone thought that it's possible that there is a fear of M$ having an unfair advantage with Skype being integrated into the OS? Think about it. Adding functionality that you can't get in the standalone client that would put other devices at a disadvantage somehow.

Mind you, I'm just tossing out ideas here. I mean, what other reason would there be for a delay from the carriers on the least populated operating system across carriers? Not buying into the fear of Skype usage because as you've all pointed out, everyone else already has it.

Why would the carriers care about that though? They don't care about fairness, all they care about is making money.

Surely everyone else can see from that statement above why carriers don't want Skype (or similar apps), right?

I understand that. I'm just offering up other thoughts. I just don't think it has anything to do with losing revenue on this OS. That's ludicrous.
