I have a HP505B desktop with 8.1. I tried to plan for Win10 install but I got the screen that NIVIDIA wasn't planning up date the drivers for the video system even though when I looked all the specification requirements are met. I went to HP and they were to update their system driver to Win10 8/15 which they have done. I cannot download the driver because my OS is 8.1 and I cant download or meet windows requirements until the desktop builder, HP, has made that driver available. What can I do now. I am as you can tell somewhat a neophite. Any suggestions other than buy another unit are acceptable.:

Jack,

Would it work if I purchased a video card and installed it (if it was an approved video card).

Just because the driver hasn't been updated doesn't mean it wont work, I'd try the upgrade and if it doesn't work roll back.

if you want to upgrade grab the iso from mediacreationtool that way you shouldn't get the warning.
but if you wanted to be sure about performance and all, maybe a new videocard with good windows 10 drivers should be better. but maybe your computer would work fine with your current videocard. I used to have a windows 8.1 with a videocard that only had vista, it didn't run perfect but it was not too bad.
