I'm trying to make a 3.5mm adapter in my head unit, but I've got no idea what I'm doing.

I'm thinking the best route would be to use the cd changer plug, so I don't have to solder directly on any circuits. However, I don't know which pins to ground to fool the head unit into thinking the cd changer is plugged in and playing. I've blown a few fuses... Any one have experience with this?
