Well folks, it is official. All of their previous "Mobile Companion" devices are now considered discontinued. I went from using my Redfly almost everyday until my battery quit charging. Celio did (kindly) replace mine, however, I have still been waiting for the promised updates (Android, possible iPhone, etc). Now that I am facing my 2 year upgrade from Sprint, I am faced with a choice. Go with an Android, iPhone, Windows Phone, or Blackberry device. Any direction I choose will not be compatible with my Redfly, so it is then rendered a useless piece of tech junk.

Anyone interested in a C8N? I may even sell my Touch Pro 2. I can pre-hard reset the device and configure Redfly to work as I currently have it (proper text/screen size, keyboard functionality, screen orientation, etc.). Funny that the Redfly drivers NEVER did work out of the box. I spent a long time editing the *.ini files to configure my phone properly (tons of spelling mistakes in the OEM files).

Anyways, it's been real. It's been fun. But it ain't been real fun.

I have officially upgraded with Sprint. I now own the Motorola Photon 4G. The Motorola has Weptop (see Lapdock) functionality which made it a direct competitor to keeping my TP2 and Redfly C8N. You can even get Weptop capability with a $49.99 VGA adapter. With a screen, bluetooth mouse, and keyboard; you are set!

If anyone is interested in my old TP2 and/or my C8N see the post here:
