Cellular Data off and apps

will apps work with Cellular Data off, when 8.1 is launched????
I have a habit of just turning on data when I need it, since I then get the battery consumption under 1% on most of the day.

What apps are you referring to?

Any app that needs data to work properly isn't going to work. Any app where data is not completely necessary it will work fine. So I'm a little confused as to what you're after.

I personally gave up using a battery app. There is no reason for them to need a data connection unless they have ads running all the time in which case they drain your battery. Seems rather pointless.

I believe in WP8.1 there will be a better battery notification. I know what we have now is not great but I think it's better than using an app that drains your battery. Seems counter productive.

Yes I know.

but some Stats to show to my dealer after much complaining, which I finally got a phone that truly keeps many days on one charge.
