Change my own website's URL

Hello! I'm currently in the process of creating a website, and I want to change the websites URL, I am using Proboards to make my website, and they want me to pay $10 to change it. How would I change the URL for free?

You'll probably find it hard to get it free, but glancing at their website if they're saying $10/month you might beat that.

Register a domain and use URL redirection to replace your current URL with a more friendly one.

E.g. register a domain on GoDaddy and use web forwarding:

https://support.godaddy.com/help/ar...warding-or-masking-your-domain-name?locale=en

(This is an example, lots of domain companies do this and prices vary...)

Yeah, if it's an actual domain, you'll most likely have to pay. I use GoDaddy for my website domain, as realwarder suggested.
