I went through the trouble of writing a change.org petition to Google asking them to provide Google Apps. Would you guys mind signing on here? I know Windows Phone is a Good OS and Microsoft provides several great services, but sometimes we have to admit that Google Also has pretty Good services as well which we'd love to see on Windows Phone. Sign if you agree. Repost on Twitter, Tumblr, whatever to get others to sign as well. Hopefully it works lol, if not. No harm done.

No I don't want to get scroogled. They don't respect user privacy, whats the point if their service is good?

If not you, think about all the other users who do depend on these services, think of how this is affecting windows phone popularity, sometimes a little pride has to be swallowed.

I've just noticed that none of my posted petitions have many signatures. I know that at least 20 people have viewed, each thread, so why do I not have that many votes? We are all quick to hate Google and other companies when they do not provide apps, but when it comes to something as simple as signing a petition we do not bother. Why? ******** on a forum is always going to be less effective than a petition, so why not the petition. If all WPcentral users, sign and retweet this, will it not force Google to act. Or at least bring to their attention that people notice what they are doing, if it fail-fair enough then. If not, we win. There's nothing lost either way , so please guys. Try. At least a little but.

The problem is probably that online petitions are a complete waste of time and achieve nothing.

It doesn't matter. All that matters is that it gets out, if everyone gets it tweeted, gets it trending, gets the petition signed and everything, it would be really hard to be ignored. However, rolling over in defeat does nothing.

signing a petition takes nothing away from you

I find it interesting how there's so much hate for Google and their alleged disregard for privacy. Yet users get upset when Google's services aren't available to them. Why?

I don't see a petition doing much good. Google knows the demand. In their defense, that's probably why they're not providing apps. At this point it's not worth the bother. Get the market share at >10%, and I bet we see Google apps for WP.

In the mobile sphere the competition from WP is negligible, but competition from iOS is huge. And iOS has some better Google apps than Android itself. Politics? I don't think it's as much a factor as we like to think it is.
