Windows Central Question

I am having some difficulty getting continuum to work using the dock and VGA on an older projector and monitor. In some cases it does not recognize that it is plugged in and in others the resolution is way off. Any help or info would be appreciated!

problem is, since VGA isn't natively supported, the phone doesn't know what resolution to give it. while I haven't tried it with my phone (no adapters on hand to test) but previous devices (Pc's, hd dvd/blu ray players) i normally would have to use the closest supported resolution (720p) and then scale/skew until i get a close approximation of the ratio.

Honestly, if you're getting VGA output at all you're having better luck than I've ever had. I'm tempted to try one of the active converters (draws power from the HDMI port and electronically converts a HDMI signal to VGA, as opposed to expecting the device to actually have VGA support), but haven't done that yet.
