Changes in microsoft account done through the PC don't sync with Phone

I added a phone number to an existing contact in people.live .com about 24 hours ago but the number still does not appear in my Lumia 635
How do I force syncing my phone with Microsoft account?

On your phone
Go to settings
Go to E-mail+accounts
Tap the MS Account
Now you can change the sync frequency.

If you hold the MS Account you can sync it if you do not want the frequency.

The problem is not with the emails but with contacts not syncing

If your Live email is the same one used for your Microsoft Account on the phone, syncing the Account syncs Email, Calendar and Contacts...

If it is not, then tap the account and make sure it is set to sync contacts...

Eventually after 2 days the phone got the update.
What a long journey!!
