Charging the nokia 925

I have a lumia 925, when I plug it in the wall it takes about 2h to fully charge.
When I connect it via usb to the pc it takes 5h or 6h to charge.

Today, I started driving with the copilot app from antwerpen to amsterdam, 150km, and with the usb car charger plugged in, however when I arrived to amsterdam, the battery was at 7%, even I could see the icon on the top right as charging, it looks like the app drains the battery faster than the cable can charge.

Or maybe the cable cant charge via usb from car? do I need a special cable or charger?

What you need is travel charger / car charger accesories. Or this might be faulty charging because the port is loosen

the usb charger works for my wife iphone without any problem, why with the lumia 925 not? its just a generic usb car charger, not special brand or whistles.

what product would you recommend?

Cheap/common usb car chargers deliver 350mA, it' much less than an usb (data transfer) port, it can deliver 500mA and it's insufficient anyway. Use a cigar to female usb converter, you can find them up to 2A since they're not data tranfering usb interfaces, they don't have to be limited to 500mA.

actually in this forum, they told me that probably I had a 1.0 or 1.2 A usb charger, which are the cheap ones sold out there,

and I was very worried because when I checked at the store here in wpcentral, they are 500ma, and 750ma.

so the more the better? normally any charger would be ok if I am not using a GPS app at the same time, but if I am, then I need more mili amperes and I will be fine right?
