Hi, I just wanted to ask if a Class 10 micro-SDxc card (not UHS-1) is good enough for the Lumia 1520. Has anyone experienced any card error with Class 10 only?
I have class 10, and every reboot it says SDCard error. I just ignore it as attempting to fix doesn't resolve anything. I just continue and it works fine.
I've had two Sandisk Class 10s in two different 1520s over the last 3 months, and both regularly flake. Icons on the start screen go dim and the SD Card Error message comes up. I've resorted to storing photos back on the internal storage so the camera doesn't lock up. I was actually in here looking for solutions or trends on the topic.
Thanks everyone. I actually have 2 64GB micro-SD. I have the UHS-1 (Samsung Evo) on 1520 and a Class 10 (Lexar) on my ASUS T100 Windows tablet. Both are running fine. I just wanted to switch because the UHS-1 seems to be a better expansion storage for the tablet running windows OS because it has better speed. My only worry using the Class 10 on 1520 is the possible errors when using the phone to record 1080p video. But I did the switch anyway and both are running okay. Thanks for all the replies.
If it's true class 10 it will be fine, the problem is now manufacturers use standard as "Maximum speed is 10Mbps" instead of "Minimum speed is 10Mbps".
The minimum speed for app is about 6Mbps, and for recording full HD video is 9Mbps, so watch ot the spec.
