Clearing SMS off band

Do older Microsoft Band SMSs just get cleared automatically as newer ones come in, or do I need to go in from time to time and clear them out? If so, how do I do so?

I think they get cleared out, there's also an app on the store called Clear My Band

I've been trying to track this myself and I think its more about the data size then the number of messages... right now I have the past 8 messages on my band, but before I've had up to ten.

As j1sh mentioned Clear My Band, removes everything.
