Coloured lines all over screen

Hello everyone, very new to this site because my Lumia 920 has been almost ruined today. So i updated to windows phone 8.1 on my Lumia 920 recently and everything was perfect. I got a new phone for my birthday and used that for about a week so i shut off and put away the 920. After about another week(today) i went back to using my 920 and put in my sim card and all was well for about an hour. After that i went to check a text message and pressed the power button to "wake up" the phone and the entire screen is covered in colourful lines all the way from top to bottom the entire length/width of the screen. The touch screen however works so you can just barely see that you are scrolling through settings and whatnot, so in other words the phone is functioning fine, just theres a huge amount of coloured lines in the way to the point that 98% visibility of what your doing is lost. I have tried turning the phone on and off a few times with no luck. I will try and post a pic of what this looks like later tonight. Any ideas what it could be? Thanks in advance

NO idea, but did you soft reset the phone ? (Hold POWER button for ~10-15 seconds until phone vibrates)
Is the phone charged ?

Phone is fully charged and i soft reset the phone twice with no luck. One of my cousins said my LCD is gone. Trying to attach a picture but i dont think its working

Where and how did you store your phone away?

im guessing it was either a temperature surge or a drop etc which caused his lcd issues

Phone was put in a cell phone box and put in my room, I only dropped this phone once and had the screen (think they replaced some other stuff while in there too, but im not sure since i wasnt there) replaced which was about 9-10 months ago. I guess there's really no way to tell unless i open up the phone

Well that sucks, i really loved this phone. Ahh well, i guess im stuck with this lg g2 for a while. Thanks for the help guys
