I have to calibrate the compass a lot on this phone. Anyone else notice this? I don't suppose that there is a fix for it. It's not a huge deal but annoying.

I don't know if it's a common problem for the M8.
But if you have a case with a magmatic clip at the top then this can also be the reason why you need to calibrate it often.

The quickest way to calibrate seems to be to reboot the phone. Then it calibrates quickly. So I can at least get it done but I shouldn't have to be doing this every few days. The figure eight wave around doesn't do it by itself.

That worked very quickly. I appreciate the tip. Now the only thing is why it would need calibrating so often. Maybe a future

My HTC m8 is always wanting to calibrate the compass, I was under the impression that the hardware wasn't in the m8 for a compass, but the software doesn't realize there is no compass
I think I figured out why my compass was giving me so much trouble staying calibrated. Bluetooth interference. I turned it (bluetooth)off and it quickly calibrated.
Thank goodness. It was frustrating to always need calibration then it would refuse to work using the known method.
