Competition for number 3 starts very soon

Hi guys. Since we need a 3rd and 4th OS. RIM is battling MS to number three and for bronze. 4th is not good enough for one OS. My friends are asking which OS is gonna be 3rd. I picked these

It's Wp8 vs BB10

vs

Wp8: Windows phone 8 is a entirely new OS. It features a new live tile interface that are resizable. Built from the Windows 8 Kernel. It has tones of features. Direct X. enhanced Xbox live integration and Cloud integration etc. It also introduces the enterprise features Windows 8 and Windows 7 has.

BB10: is also a new OS built from the QNX kernel. It has a new interface that is nowhere like BB OS7 and it also has new enhanced Enterprise features. It fits all factors. touch to qwerty devices


Which Do you think will win and why. and what is the potential. Honest

I don't see how Blackberry can stay alive. Their bread & butter is email and enterprise integration. Windows Phone has all that and more. There is no more compelling reason to have a Blackberry unless you need a physical keyboard.

When I saw the second image I immediately thought Android. I'm not sure whether that will play well for BlackBerry. If it plays in their favour (people think it's Android so buy it and then take a liking to it) then WP8 is toast. If it doesn't play out in BB's favour though, then we've got it.

I've also left a more detailed response on CrackBerry. Here's the extra stuff I said:

Seriously, no matter what MS do, if people buy it because they think BB10 is Android, and take a liking to it, then WP8 is going down. Devs will stop developing for WP8 no matter how much cash Nokia throws their way, because everyone on WP8 will migrate to the other 3 OS's, and even I'll have to. Unfortunately, WP8's success depends on RIM more than it does MS. BB10's fate also depends on RIM more than MS. The ball's in RIM's court, can they seize it or will they bluff it?

Honestly I don't think people will confuse BB10 with Android. Carriers appear to be Android fanboys anyway so they will make sure people don't get BB10 and Android confused.

I think enterprise features of Windows Phone 8 will be a big factor. We still do not know everything that will be available for enterprise.

Windows Phone has previously targeted consumers, not enterprise users. We know Windows Phone 8 will be getting the "big name" apps that consumers want, but we do not know if BB10 will get those apps.

If Windows Phone 8 has all the enterprise features, businesses might opt not to upgrade to new BES servers, which would help Windows Phone 8 but hurt BB10.
