complete battery drain and incorrect clock

Hello,
Has anyone faced this issue? My surface pro 3 sometimes drains battery completely if I have it unplugged for couple days (looks like other ppl are facing this issue too). What's interesting is the clock shows the wrong time when I plug it in and turn it back on. I thought there is always a separate small battery to maintain the clock.
Any ideas?

This sounds like one of the bugs that people experienced with the preview devices - those given out to reporters before launch. It was fixed with one of the early updates, assuming this is the same thing. Have you checked to see if there are updates available?

I occasionally have the wrong time problem too on my surface pro (1st gen).
(had this problem even without battery drained)

After disabling the auto time-sync function, the problem disappeared.
