I really like this concept design. It would be nice if all developers would stick to certain design rules (like iOS apps; even Google released official design elements for app developer when they introduced their holo theme along with Android 4.0) and this way improve the experience of uniformity which comes along with the Metro UI.

I like the Netflix idea. The problem I have with the current design is scrolling through the long list is cumbersome and after a certain point, I just can't be bothered any more. I'd like to see it a bit more in line with the desktop app. As you have shown, perhaps getting rid of the movie titles will allow better use of space and cut down on scrolling.
