Concerned about Xbox Music

Re: Xbox music on 8.1

Oh, what a NIGHTMARE!

It screwed up album art of songs I have on my SD Card (and thet do not exist on the store).

It also deleted all the personal Artist Pictures I downloads with MPA Tool.

And it's kind of slow too.

It also does not work anymore as a Hub for all the music related apps. I liked to keep them there instead of on my homescreen.

Hope they fix it soon, 'cause music is a BIG part of my phone.

Re: Xbox music on 8.1

Well, it must be updating from the cloud each time as it says "updating collection..." and counts up to 4000+ each time I open the app again. That's on the main screen of Xbox music though. If I flip over to say artists or albums, it just sits there with a painful "loading" and lots of black tiles for ages before finally giving me something. Then skipping to another letter will result in the same thing. Ouch.

Re: Xbox music on 8.1

The 'good' news is, this is now STORE updatable. So they could still be working on the final build of Xbox Music yet.

This. It is very possible that updates could be coming. Or at the very least, Microsoft always has the ability to update it with a simple app update. It may even be the case that apps like this and the new podcast app where what delayed the 8.1 update until today.

This app isn't great, but it still gets the job done and hopefully will be updated soon and frequently.

Don't bother hard reseting your phone, it does not help (I just tried that).

Re: Xbox music on 8.1

This is pissing me off. This update to Xbox Music has jacked my entire collection up. Album art no longer matches what I had. So flipping frustrating.

Re: Xbox Video / Xbox Music does not support SD Card Move

In storage sense, Video and Music are greyed out when you try to select apps to move to SD Card. Do the movies go to SD card then?

Re: Xbox Video / Xbox Music does not support SD Card Move

Are you trying to move the app or the media?

I've had media on the SD card in my Lumia 1520 ever since I got it. The app is one of the built in apps, so I don't know why you would want to move that, if that is what you're trying to do.

Re: Xbox music on 8.1

Can someone post a screenshot of Xbox music on 8.1?

But yeah the new app is terrible and is taking a long time to load up my music (only have like 2k songs). I never liked the Xbox Music app on Windows 8 and now its here on my phone....great.

It's the same horrible preview app we got months ago. There is quite literally NO change in its performance, behavior, or appearance. I've switched to Listen.

It took Xbox Music about a half-hour to catalog my music.

Thank you. I just updated mine just now. Yes it was just totally plain and music loads bit so long. But still thankful that my album cover photos are still there and intact. I dont like my music hub a totally black or ugly. Lol!

Re: Xbox music on 8.1

It doesn't even support quick switching from the task manager! Takes forever load, doesn't have scrubbing..

Re: Xbox music on 8.1

Everything is so oversized and large now... I thought WP8's text was huge for my 1520, but it is truly ridiculous that I can only see 3 albums at once on my 6'' phone....
