Confused...? between Terminal, Command Prompt & PowerShell.

Hi everyone, I am a tech guy but confused between Terminal vs Command Prompt vs PowerShell. Well, I am using all the three but searching for an article from Microsoft about all the three in comparison but find nothing. Last night I was battling with one of my computers in lab and tried deployment tools and different command lines and come to this conclusion that there is a bit confusion that which one to use.
There are many third-party articles available on net which are helpful but didn't find a proper article from Microsoft.
If someone come across Microsoft article then kindly share, I shall be grateful.
