I'm guessing it's looking for a Miracast by default. I have two chromecasts and it didn't find them in the native interface, but I use chromecast streaming to stream my desktop anyway. It's allright for tv, but wouldn't use it as a workstation solution.

mine connects to my Microsoft Wireless display adaptor ok....... this is the older one - I haven't tried with the new adaptor yet
