I'm sorry if this has been answered before (I'm sure it has), but will Continuum work with this phone?

Specifically they said Continuum on phones requires new processors from Qualcomm that can drive two displays at once (for the Continuum experience they showed off). The 640 has a Snapdragon 400, which was released in 2013.There's no confirmation by Microsoft regarding this.
They said that it will require new hardware.
So answer is most probably 'no'
You will be able to use a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard, and you will be able to project your screen, but it won't be the same thing as Continuum. This is the same boat everyone else will be in when Windows 10 for mobile arrives.
If you want to take full advantage of Continuum, you'll have to get one of the new SOCs that haven't yet been released.
I'm wondering, though, if older phones like my L635 and even your L640 will be able to take advantage of turning off phone display and only using the external display in the same way as continuum, but without driving both screens. For that, we'll have to wait a bit longer to get news from Microsoft on it.
