Cortana and local weather

Recently (maybe since the last preview update), I can't get cortana to give me weather information without including a specific location. If I ask "Whats the forecast for tomorrow?" or "Will it rain today?" I get back a search result. If I ask something like "Will it rain today in New York City?" I get her response. Anyone else experiencing this or have any idea how to fix it? She can do other location based things just fine.
