Cortana gone randomly

I reboot my phone today because it was being sluggish, the reboot really helped but removed Cortana. This also removed all dictator features.

I went into the settings and its still set to United States (I'm Canadian) I then just swapped countries and reset, then went back to US again.. I'm not quite sure what happened.

check your location settins , it should be on for using cortana.

Make sure you allow Cortana to work in background with the battery saver app.

It's not available in the battery saving menu. It's just gone from the app list

Oh, date is set to "US+Canada"

Well there's a way to uninstall system apps of you set the year to 2114, which I've done before, then totally forget about setting it back. Found out you can't update your apps, so was wondering if that was maybe the case for you, but with Cortana.

Nope, it disappeared after I hard reset my phone because of issues

Then change region and language to United States (English Untied States for language).
