Cortana in Canada

Funny, when I select UK speech, I lose Cortana

Since the HTC 8S isn't getting Update 1, can any of you think of a scenario where 8s owners in Canada will get Cortana in any capacity (alpha, beta or final release version)? I was initially thinking that when the final release version of 8.1 was deployed to me by my carrier, that I would get Cortana, but maybe that is just wishful thinking...

I set my region back to Canada, didn't find the US that much more different and the temperature using F instead of C drove me nuts. I find they are practically the same, aside from a few extra interests.

when you ask her the temp just tell her " what is the weather in celsius" and she will give it to you

Oh yeah, everything works 100% perfectly. Location reminders, geofencing, etc. Even local recommendations (even though I turn that part off, it does work fine if you use it).

My settings are USA for everything.
LANGUAGE: "English (United States)"
Country/Region: "United States"
Regional format: "match phone language"

The only real pain is searching on maps. You have to be specific for things. Like instead of searching "102 centre street", you have to put "102 centre street, city, province". But I'm not sure if that's because my phone is set as an American phone, or just on account of Bing being very basic in searching compared to google.

Actually I was able to get away with just the street address on the U.S Cortana (Rogers Lumia 920 out of Toronto). The only thing that kind of bothers me is the weather in Fahrenheit, but it's not a big deal, bigger number = hotter.

My Nokia 1020 on Telus has settings as recommended. Language: English (Canada) enabled, English (US) available; Region: Canada, English (Canada); Speech Language: English (US). Cortana is not even listed in settings. Anyone have other ideas.

Thats weird... I'm using canadian Cortana for over a month now and I it's near perfection. She didn't learn anything from me because I don't know how to use that, but she's giving me directions and I was abble to select my interests
