Cortana is no longer showing me my commute

Anyone else having a problem with Cortana no longer showing their commute? Up until a few days ago Cortana would alert me when it was time to leave for work and I could see it as well on my daily glance but now it's no longer there.

How did you get her to tell you that? Don't remember her asking for a start time for work. Did you have to enter a calendar entry for each day of the week? I don't remember her asking for home or work location, either. I had to enter manually in the notebook.

I set it up in the interests section of Cortana's notebook. It's under daily routing, then daily glance. You have to also set up places in her notebook as well.

Screenshot? I don't have the daily routing option, but daily routine? Daily glance is on, but I have never told her when I start. How can she tell me when to leave if she doesn't have a start time?

It's all predictive; Cortana will learn after a while that you leave HOME at a certain time and leave work at a certain time and will notify you.

This happened to me a while back but here is what I did and now it works and has been without issue for a while now...

Go into Cortana interests and delete both daily glance and getting around (I just noticed the name changed from daily routine).

Then add both features back and turn everything on and select all check boxes. Now Cortana should start notifying you again. At least this worked for me.

Under getting around settings, do you have traffic updates to my favorite places turned on and notify when its time yo go to my favorite places? If you do, you should see an bell icon next to getting around.

Also, do you have work and home in your favorite places?

cortana has continued to work for me and reminds me both ways - to and from work, but i have found that in the past week or so, "My Commute" live tile is no longer working... ODD!

Same here, commute reminder and commute info in daily glance and on live tile stopped working about a week ago. I removed and added back the option in interests, too. Still doesn't work.

I've deleted the daily routine and getting around and then re-added them and now they work fine.

Mine stopped working for a few days this week. I didn't change anything. Yesterday on my way to work, I noticed that my estimated travel time to work was listed at the top of Cortana under the heading "Here's a few things to get your day started," (or whatever it says). Today, I actually got the alert when I need to leave for work (right as I was walking out my door).

Is it possible that there was just a temporary issue with Cortana on Microsoft's end?

Probably was a temporary issue but it doesn't seem like everyone is getting it fixed at the same time.

Yeah, same here. Broken for a few days now. While reading this thread, I just checked and was about to try the suggested fix, but lo and behold it's already fixed. So maybe it was at the backend with MS.

Speaking of location, just out of curiosity:

​Can you guys type a location into the location field of an event and the calendar app will start populating with places, much like the maps app does when you search for a place or address? My app used to do this, and it randomly just stopped.

This seemed to be a temporary issue on the server side of Cortana back in September, but I haven't gotten an alert about leaving for work since I got a replacement Lumia 920 after my other phone was damaged a few weeks ago.

I still get the alerts about how long it will take me to get home when I leave work, but my phone hasn't been providing me any alerts in the morning.

Do you know if I can tell Cortana when my vacation starts? So she does not wake me at 6am telling me to leave for work.

Tap on Cortana, then select the hamburger menu in upper right corner, then tap on getting around, then at the bottom unclick the box that says "Notify me when it's time to go to work or head home." Or, set a Cortana reminder on the day before your vacation to unclick this box, and set another reminder to click the box on the last day of your vacation.

The only thing that's bugging me is Cortana is letting me know it's "time to leave" work ......... 10 minutes after I've left work lol :eck: . This is consistent too.
