Creating Playlists from Now Playing Doesn't Work

I've followed instructions online to a T and this never works.
- Add a bunch of songs to Now Playing
- Get your mix just right such that you want to save and hear again sometime
- Click the list view from the player to see everything that is now playing
- Hit the save button
- I have Keep Playlist offline selected because I keep all my music on the phone (no cloud)
- Give it a name
- Hit save

It never saves the playlist. What am I doing wrong?

(Nokia Lumia 1020, windows phone 8.1 - xbox music just recently updated but this has been an issue for a long time)

Yep, XBM is a train wreck.
Use another app, or device, if you want music playing to actually work.
