Critical error occurring on pressing start menu on Windows 10 (new surface pro 4), how can I fix it?

Critical error occuring on pressing start menu on windows 10 (new surface pro 4)

Brand new surface pro 4. Installed as per guide. Now on powering up, when try to access windows start menu, received the message 'Critical error. Your start menu isn't working. We'll try to fix it the next time you sign in. Sign out now'. Have tried turning device off and logging in again, but repeatedly getting same message.

I had the same error with my new windows 10 desktop along with random blue screen errors. Fixed it by getting rid of dropbox and the issue has gone away. Try uninstalling dropbox.
