A Pen Holder! Yeah, I was going to say for a quality, handcrafted, leather item around $175 - $200. I think a flap with a long strap and snap or just a tab to slide through would be sharp.

Thanks for the input! Yea, actually our initial concept was a flap with a tab to slide through, but this piece of leather was a bit too stiff. If she were to use a softer piece she could definitely get that done.

Thanks! Yes actually! Her process was to make a wooden form with the exact measurements of the surface, then use that to form the cover around it. As long as she has the measurements, she could make anything!

I only have a SP2, but I'd say shoot for maybe a $100 upper limit. $99 is also a very powerful number, psychologically.

I really like this cover. I think you would be spot on for the price of $150-200 for a custom leather case depending on what is done. The only critique I would have is the location of the pen holder. But I could see why it was placed there to cover the pen and help protect it. I wonder if it would be possible to make a small pocket for it. Also I would be interested in seeing what a landscape design would also look like. Thinking about it now the portrait design might be better to offer more support for the case. If she ever does end up making more cases be sure to post some images here! I'll be interested in seeing them. And would be interested in having one made sometime in the future.

That case is gorgeous! The money is spot on I think, but I personally wouldn't pay it as its a bit too high end for my budget. There's definitely a market out there though - you should suggest testing the water with a single listing on eBay / Amazon and see how it fairs. I'm sure some richer folks than me would snap it up...

Ok Guys,

My Sister and I are really appreciating all your feedback. Really cool to see all the interest in this thing. I'm wondering if there's anyone who would actually like to commit to having her make one for them. There's a few options you'd be able to go through, and really you could have it just about any way you want. Just as an example, if you wanted my exact cover (with a different stamp) it would probably be 150$-200$ depending on the liner and complexity of the stamp. If you wanted to go with something a little cheaper, it would be a softer leather, but no stamp. That would be probably around 99$. She definitely could explore other concepts as well. Pockets, landscape, flaps, pretty much anything. So what do you guys think? Any takers?

I would be very interested if she can make a folio case. Big enough to put the surface in and maybe a notepad worth of papers. With the usual card slots, pen slots...

My problem, I am based in Singapore... will have to ship it here...
