What is everyone using and why? I personally prefer the dark theme because it isn't as blinding at night, and the OS feels more complete. With the light theme enabled it makes the OS feel incomplete. The store, music, and photo gallery all use the dark theme and it causes a pretty hating experience in my opinion. What are your thoughts?

In 8.0 I switched between dark and light, since cyan went well with light, but I prefer the dark theme now.

In 8.1, dark goes best with my wallpaper.

My 920 has an LCD, so battery life hit wasn't a concern.

I like dark better than light since it is more readable.

I always use the dark theme with grey, on Amoled devices the screen consumes less with darker colors while in use, same goes for apps wich can be set to a dark theme.

Dark... I am sensitive to light and keep all devices dim as possible. The dark them works so well.. The light theme is just too bright...too much white space and at night will light up a room!

I used dark for a long time until I switched to light on a whim and now I like it much better because the white edge on the start screen matches the white text of my various tiles.

For some reason I've always been a fan of the dark theme. I would imagine if you have a ClearBlack display device having a black theme would also positively impact battery and possibly performance.

Dark and Light impacts battery only when you talk AMOLED and LCD. Clearblack just enhances the blacks. So blacks are darker blacks. But if you use white on Clearblack display - it doesn't affect battery life. Best example : Lumia 1320 - LCD screen and has a clearblack display.

If your phone is AMOLED and you switch to light screen, you will see a warning text telling you that will impact your battery. If you don't see that - theme colour won't change anything.

I tend to stick to the dark theme because I find that fingerprints are much more noticeable on my 520's screen when using the light one.

I would definitely use e light heme if it actually changed everything within the OS. As it stands, it's too jarring of an experience when you launch your photos hub and it uses the dark theme. Xbox Music, and the Marketplace all use the dark theme and it discombobulates the UX. :(

...whereas most apps go for light theme - Skype, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.

Dark theme, saves battery life on my 1020's AMOLED display and plus I find it blinding to use a phone with a stark white theme

I used to switch back and forth for a while but since my current WP has an amoled display I use the dark (and the dark theme of most apps).
