Dark vs Light theme.

My 920 has a yellow-ish screen so meh to white themes...

Dark theme from day one, I tried the light theme when i got my 920 and it was waaay to bright for me even in the office (I guess that says something on how poorly lit the office was! probably due the cheap fluorescent tube lights lol).

The light theme would be better if the whole OS properly used it. Also it would be better if it was slightly dimmer.

Dark because it is unique to WP.
Although sometimes light theme looks very beautiful in certain apps.

Almost always dark. I have been known to use the light on occasion, but overall I think the dark looks better not to mention the battery saving.

Black theme is a sort of universally acceptable theme and is pleasant to the eyes under all circumstances. The light theme, in my opinion, is much more suited to apps which use the screen display to the fullest with very little free space, like the Bing news(which uses a custom light theme anyway) and wpcentral. Using light theme with apps such as music apps just puts strain on the eyes due to the glare.

I always prefer light until recently I was forced to use the dark theme because the new phone Lumia 930 embedded with a AMOLED display. It's all about battery life concern.

I like the contrast on the light theme way more but it just looks weird on the Start screen, and of course drains more battery on my 1020.

930 doesn't have AMOLED, I believe.

It does, the 920 and 1520 are LCD equipped, but I believe the other high ends are AMOLED.

You know you can adjust that, right? You can change the white balance of the screen in Settings.

Dark: looks great, less battery drain.
Light: I find it to be much easier for reading any significant amount of text.
So I switch back and forth.
I just noticed in WP8.1 there was a setting somewhere that allows you, even in dark mode, to read your emails in "light" mode. Pretty cool.

white is awesome it looks more clean but I still prefer black because it is more readable in most cases than white.

I've always had dark theme, but since a few weeks I have white theme. I just want devs to make their apps fully supportable for white theme, even the main screen of the store is black!

Dark is better esp for an AMOLED screen as it saves battery. Light is only suitable for LCD screens. And I think WP looks more natural in the black theme somehow

Dark theme all the way! With an AMOLED screen (Lumia 822), the contrast provided by the dark theme makes everything stand out so much.

I use dark. I've always used dark. Once in a while, I'll switch to light back it doesn't last more than a few minutes. I try to match my 925 to my Xbox One and Win8 PC.

1) it makes ma l-925 classy n elegent.
2) it conserve battery ..
