Data Connection Question (Sprint Touch Pro)

My phone will automatically establish a data connection when I do something that needs one. I've also managed to stop any programs from doing that unless I start the program. This is how it should be and I'm happy with how that works now.

BUT:

Once the phone establishes a data connection, it remains active until I go into the Comm Manager screen and turn it off again. It may be idle, but it remains active until I manually turn it off. My Mogul (WM 6.0) used to turn off the data connection when it wasn't needed and this is what I'd like my Touch Pro to do, but I can't seem to find a configuration option that will cause that to happen.

So what am I missing?

Thanks!

Pete

I am having the same problem but my wife's phone is not having this problem. The only thing I changed on mine and not hers is that I launched Sprint TV which made me download some update for Sprint TV.

Any ideas on how to bring this back to where I can turn the Data Connection Off and On using just the Data Connection button without being sent to settings?

Thanks...

OK After a few hard resets I determined that this only happens after I activesync my device with my PC for the first time (or even connect it via USB without synching). Anyone know how to correct this problem? My wifes phone is also sync'd (to a different computer) but she is not having this problem.
