Date announced for Tango Update for Telus Lumina 800

Hey guys,

Figured I would post this even though it seems there are few Canadians poking around here. Telus has released a document indicating when they expect the Tango update for the Lumina 800.

The date is July 13th, bit far away but i'm glad its not being forgotten.

Just FYI, but I think Telus is an Australian cell provider, isn't it?

The Nokia update site says that the update is available, but nothing yet for my Lumia 800 on Telus.

just received a notice on my Telus Lumia 800 that an update is available. I can't confirm because I'm remote from a Zune connection until tomorrow.

Telus Nokia Lumia 800 Tango Update Available July 14th

I just received updates to a Telus Nokia Lumia 800 via Zune and, through three update cycles, now have OS version 7.10.8773.98 and firmware version 1750.0805.8773.12220. Now have Internet Sharing feature and other announced capabilities. The first cycle took about 20 minutes, the second about 25, and the third about 10. I've attached photos of the About information for the phone prior to the update, and after each of the three steps so you can what was updated at each stage.

I just saw that the update was available, i'm going to use the data trick to force it as my phone hasn't alerted me.

Further to this, and to the Telus upgrade schedule link posted in the first message of this thread, I saw the upgrade schedule Telus document now is not updated and dated July 12, 2012(see http://www.telusmobility.com/pv_obj_cache/pv_obj_id_AC73D0FC932B2612A18CCEEF78AE49414BFC0200/filename/Device_OS_Upgrade_Schedule_July12th.pdf). I see it has a footer for the Lumia 800 that specifies there's a four week roll out of this update via Zune. I originally thought that Telus was planning on providing several updates to be made available to all subscribers over the next four weeks. Now I'm thinking that they're rolling it the full update but to their subscribers but gradually over the next four weeks, and I may have been lucky and been first in their queue.

Thanks for posting. I haven't got the notice on my phone yet, but I do know they release it in waves. Although I bought mine the day it went on sale, I clearly was not included in the first wave(s) for the updates

I just got the notice for the update on my phone! Not at home, so I cant update now, but will be doing it as soon as I get home.

Lumia 800 on Telus in Ontario.

I just got mine today - no Zune trick - just plug in and boom, done. I tried the trick Friday numerous times to no avail. I guess it was just my turn.

Some more info on the releasing of this Telus Lumia 800 update: We have three Lumia 800s in our household and two of them had the update notification on July 14th. I had assumed the third was also updateable, but when I just plugged it into Zune it said it was up to date with 8107. So it looks like our third 800 is in a later scheduled release...
