Default volume for Bluetooth?

Anyone know why when I connect via Bluetooth to a device such as my car or laptop, the volume defaults to 13/30? It doesn't seem to happen all the time, just about 90% of the time. Seems like there should be a default volume for BT somewhere, but I just can't seem to find it. Anyone? Thanks!

It is likely the same reason that when headphones are plugged in it will default to a lower volume (13/30), which is to avoid ear damage, or more likely lawsuits from people getting ear damage.

There isn't anyway to set this manually as far as I'm aware.

As for the inconsistency of it happening, I can't say exactly what causes it to not happen but it is either having played something recently or have adjusted the volume recently causing it to not drop to the default

I came here looking for the same answer. This is terribly annoying and defeats the purpose of having automatic bluetooth connections if you need to make hands-on adjustments, especially in the car. Unnecessary too, because Lumias tend to have low non-speaker volume.

I wish this could be changed, I don't care for the whole "volume warning" thing. They should have a one-time click turning it off, as a legal waiver for them.

Bluetooth volume setting is remembered across disconnections (i.e., I set it to 30/30 in my car, I use my phone all day at various other volumes, then I get back in my car and it goes to 30/30 again automatically) - but I think the setting isn't remembered across reboots or total shutdowns. It used to be in 8.0, so that's probably just a bug.

The volume warning is a whole other issue, and probably not a bug (just a terrible, terrible, terrible feature).

Yeah, it is annoying. In 8.0 it used to remember it fine no problems but now I have found myself having to readjust (same Bluetooth device).

As byobg was saying, hopefully just a bug that will get squashed.
