Well Denim didn't get released in October.
What are the rumors for November.

It wasn't rumours. It was sometime in Q4 which starts 1 OCT to 31 DEC then there are carriers that have to "test" it and then you get it.

Seems to me that a problem that MS has to get over is the gap between announcements and actual release - and the consequent vagueness of the release window. When Google and Apple announce new products and updates the timing is near-term and precise.
