this is one thing that has bugged me a lot recently, so i wanted to bring it up. In apps that are a part of the os, you get a lot of different animations, like the content fly in from the left, titles flying in over the other text, content sliding in from the bottom etc. The text and background seem like separate layers, as the background usually appears first, and the text rows fly in one after one afterwards. (take the music+videos hub for example)

however, in apps, you only get one animation, the fly in from the left, or no animations at all. Also, the text and background seem like one layer. The background and all text flies in at the same time in a slow animation, and this usually makes apps seem slower to me. (take the new xbox music app for example)

has anyone else noticed this?

Yeah, hard reset should fix most of the problems out there on your device. That's what i did to my Ativ S, but sadly i experienced data loss because i couldn't turn the phone on to backup data.

Too bad my friend i cant fight anymore with stupid bugs even that i know that WP 8.1 is dev prev. Hvala Bogu da ima nekoga jos ko nije iz Indije ))) how did you loose data conn? Strange...my friend have Ativ S with 8.1 and he is very very satisfied..he hard reset his phone yesterday from curioosity and now its flying your phone was charging during back up or it was on battery? If the battery was below 50% it could be a problem did you fix it?

in dailer there was a bug when i tried to click on merge button to join two calls nothing was happening. first i called one mobile no then clicked on add call to again called another mobile no after that i saw merge call option clicked on merge calls nothing was happening . its critical bug for conference call

Hey guyz i own a lumia 1320. I recently updated to developer preview of 8.1. The display doesn't seem to be right. It has become smaller. The taskbar icons appear to be smaller. There is more space between live tile and edge of screen. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm having a strange issue with my Lumia 925, if you try to watch a video into the browser, like on the verge, or youtube video embedded in portrait mode and zoomed completely out on the page, the phone goes crazy, it starts showing distorted ui and eventually it goes into the lockscreen. Tried with Nokia Cyan FI CV firmware and 8.1 preview, anyone experienced the same?

Don't worry, all settled now, only thing that bothers me is the Music app and the lack of Nokia Creative Studio for us...

Did you try soft or hard reset? Try that first, and if it still doesn't work, try some alternative browser like Surfy or UC Browser. Hope i helped

For me biggest problem is screen freezes frequently only way out is press the lock button nd unlock the phone. It happens even during calls.anyway.I don't want to roll back to WP 8 because I love wp 8.1 features.

I recently had the same problem but it gone after the hard reset which i was forced to do.

Got some issue/bug, my phone was suddenly felt hot.. Really hot in my pocket, then i check whether there were any apps running, then nope, no apps running and it drains my battery from 60% to 10% in 20-30 minutes... Daheckkk....

Also have this problem sometimes but it doesn't drain that fast tho. I have Lumia 1520 and when this bug happens, my phone is hot like one would be using it but it's just idling and draining 10% of battery life per hour without touching it. Nothing but soft reset fixes it o.o

now i noticed a big problem with touch
many times the screen does not respond to touch. it stuck no back working. not any windows button working
it will work after lock and unlock the phone
and after soft reset phne screen going totally black

anyone having this problem?????

I also have this problem, it freezes, buttons don't work then the screen turns withe and shows loading... and it works only if I lock and unlock the phone. I didn't see any black screen with soft reset, but when streaming video it freezes and the screen goes back.
I've also noticed that sometimes some apps duplicate when I try to close them, I hold the back button then close a app but after close some others the app is back and I have to close it again.

GETTING TIRED OF THIS BULLS**T

Hey guys, 920 rocking 8.1 here, yesterday I deleted all my music via the metro app for windows 8 because I wanted to refresh my music library from zero but what a f***ing surprise, the stupid app can only sync 99 songs of my initial 254 songs selection, at the corner it displayed the 'Error' words, furious I did it all over again only to see the same thing happening.

About to explode I opened the windows phone app for desktop only to found the most irritating application ever! how come I can't select individual songs instead of full albums?!!. About to stab somebody I went to settings to change itunes from syncing with the app, I was hoping this would enable the app to select songs individually.... Oh dear lord I was SO WRONG!, now it says they couldn't find my music library because I moved the fu***ing folder somewhere else, then I went to the windows explorer and... TAH DAH!, the stupid folder is there!...

I almost killed myself... and my 920... and my HP...
Some questions for Microsoft:

What was wrong with the amazing Zune app!?!?!?!?!?

Why is your brand new app for your brand new mobile OS so damn terrible?!

Why is it something this basic so painfully hard to the end user?!

Are you planning on taking on Apple and Google with this level of bullsh*t?
....

Seriously, I love my 920 but I don't know how long can I ignore these kind of stupidity...
