For what it's worth, I've seen that the wifi issue is pretty prevalent on the MSDN forums as well. It sounds like Microsoft is looking into the issue, so hopefully this may get addressed in the first patch they issue. My fear is that since it seems to affect a handful of devices, we may have to wait for firmware updates to resolve the issue.

On my Icon, it worked if I set Cortana as 'Not allowed' in the background in battery saver and then soft reset the phone.

Interesting, ssapre. I have Cortana set as allowed to run in background. Not sure what that means.

I have soft rest the phone a few times as well.

On my Icon I was experiencing the lagging unlock issue. It would, at times, take 10 or more seconds to unlock and, on occasion, it wouldn't unlock at all. It seems that with WiFi turned off and operating solely on LTE the issue is gone. It unlocks right away now. Not sure exactly what the issue is but I've also seen that, with WiFi on, it doesn't always show any reception. Seems that the Verizon data for now is more stable.

Interesting. I haven't noticed the wifi being on or off having any effect on the unlock lag problem on my Icon.

This is excellent. Can't see why so many people have been complaining about the Pictures hub. I'd say it far better now than before. Cortana is a blast to use, and the various other updates don't hurt. Thank you Microsoft for letting us actually keep our devices relevant.

Thank you very much. Unfortunate fix, but will have to do for now.

If you have bing weather installed, try uninstalling it, but leaving the wifi on. That might work for you also to "fix" the lagging unlock problem. It did for me on my Icon; but I wasn't experiencing any wifi issues before (or since).

That didn't work for me...already tried. Bing Weather is back on my phone with wifi turned off...seems stable, no lock ups, or battery drain. For me anyway, its wifi.

can anyone add word into own dictionary? When i type on eng keyboard and i want to add some new word, there is "+" with that word. But when i switch, for me, to slovak keyboard, + never appear. In WP8.0 it was possible to add slovak words. I changed my region to US because of Cortana, but before update my region was set to UK.

Exactly. Sorry for the confusion. Upgrade to Windows 8.1 = a hot mess. Upgrade to Windows Phone 8.1 = easy as pie.

Agreed. Love the way it separates photos by date, with the option of sorting by album. Nice.

Cortana - so for, so good.

I am really loving the new text input. I find it even better than Swype - I can text/email really fast now.

Vibrate- Vibrating mode doesn't work at all........is this normal?

on an ativ s with wp 8.1 when opening camera and switching from photo to video multiple times will break it and i have to restart the phone to get it working again reset camera won't fix it

Same with me, Ativ S too, soft reset helps but only until you switch to video and back again :eck:

please add "Data connection" in action center that we don't have to go into settings to start it
and video doesn't go on full screen when played from IE before it was
Lumia 625

Agree with adding Data Connection in action center, and video not going full screen in IE is a feature!

The Word Flow keyboard is not working on my 8X, even after a hard reset. (keyboard language: dutch)

Does work for me on Ativ S in dutch.

anybody find a fix to get notifications onto the action center? fb/insta doesnt go through there. tried reinstalling, deleting beta, hard rest (not factory) and nothing. receive over 10 notifcations yesterday and never showed up and doesnt show up in settings.
