Devices on sale now upgradeable to WinMo 7?

Any thoughts about devices on sale now through November 2009 which will be upgradeable to WinMo 7? I'm not excited about WinMo 6.5, but need a new phone over the next month and would like to get one I could later upgrade to WinMo 7.

In particular, the Samsung Omnia II might be my top choice if it's ever available on AT&T in the US and can be upgraded to 7.

There has been a posting with the chassis specs for windows mobile 7 and those devices that currebtly qualify the most important of which is a capacitive touch screen.

So devices such as the Omnia II which have resistive screens won't run WinMo 7?
