Did AT&T forget about us?

That one didn't show up in my search. Still, that's not a lot of votes, considering the request for custom alert tones was close to 60K last time I checked.

Jump on board people, start voting. It's not a guarantee, but at least we can say we tried instead of just grumbling.

.......and keep flooding AT&t's twitter page. Not effective, but satisfying.

True, but I'd like 2 years. They probably made it 36 months to make it sound better to everyone.

Not everyone buys their phone on day 1 so it shows support for it's most likely life. In other words those looking for a deal may buy a 1 year old phone new and have a 2 year contract making it 3 years from the launch date before they replace it.

September is not over but it's quickly approaching. Time to either cheer that fact or fear it. Update page still shows "waiting for approval" which is not a good sign but .... I could be wrong. T- minus 13 and counting...

Well it looks like at this rate iOS 7 will land on AT&T before this month old update will...

If @ATT was telling us the truth:
The Intern is having a harder time stripping Data Sense out of Amber than anticipated. We'd put our good software engineers on it, but they're working on the new iPhone... and it's more important to us.

What about the 1020 and 925 that are being sold now? It works, and both unfortunately without data sense.

They are not telling the truth. They want you to buy a new one. More $$ in it for them.

Wish we could get our hands on the actual update designed for ATT, but untouched by ATT and just flash it. I would rather go that route than have to delete all their bloatware and deal with their stripped down features at this point.

A dude over in the 925 forums was able to get att to give him an early upgrade after he threatened to move to tmobile. He was moving from an iphone 5 to a 925. Maybe they would do that for people here that have not gotten the update?

I find the story pretty hard to believe. I don't really see how AT&T could possibly have a mechanism for sending this one guy the update. Could it be that they swapped the device for one running GDR2? But then, I thought all Lumia 925s came with the update out of the box. I also am skeptical that AT&T would care about subscriber retention at all.

I think the point of the story is that if you threaten to leave they'll upgrade you to a 925 which has GDR2... but I can't see them caring about me that much and I want the extra storage of my 920 (although the Xenon flash is tempting). Personally, I'm surprised they didn't try to talk the guy into an iPhone 5s or Galaxy S4 with the old "you don't want a Windows Phone" routine.

The worst part about it is that we have this long, long wait, and won't even have the complete Amber experience. Stripping out Data Sense is friggin bull. When I'm out of my contract, I'm done with ATT. And crap like this will be a big reason.

There is not a significant free feature that I know of on Windows Phones that is exclusive to AT&T. They do have the AT&T storage Locker.

Data Sense lets you set a data limit and can restrict background date when it is approached. It can give the cellular and WiFi data usage for the last 30 days and the cellular and Wifi Data usage per app and phone tasks like app downloads, store, people, mail, internet explorer and streming media. You can also map nearby WiFi. It is very useful. AT&T says it takes software infastructure support from the carrier. Are your sure about that? It works on my 521 when I use my AT&T sim.

Sprint has NASCAR Mobile ?13 with premium content for race driver radio and Verizon has NFL Mobile with premium content for streaming games. From AT&T ____ ?

Timely updates from AT&T would be nice, along with Data Sense.

That's bs. How was I able to do the hack flash to update to a nonATT rom and get Amber with Data Sense? It worked fine.
I just had to get my phone replaced though, since it bricked. And I really don't feel like flashing a Rom.

But sadly, since ATT is never going to let us have Data Sense, I may end up flashing the non ATT Amber ROM eventually.
