Did this happen to other Htc Trophy users?

On 9/29 I got the long- awaited notification on my phone that it was ready to be updated.
I plugged into zune, the whole update ran smoothly through all the steps, then it said update completed. I unplugged from the computer and excitedly started checking out what mango was all about. But there was nothing different and I started to realize my phone never updated!!! I called Htc and they said there was a glitch in the update for Verizon phones and Im going to have to wait for the update to be pushed out again once things are fixed. My phone now says no updates available.. Did this happen to anyone else? and does anyone know if and when the update will be available again?

hey,
I am on vodafone UK but forced my HTC Trophy phone to update using the zune disconnect method.
So have had no problems at all.
Have you tried the force method? It is completely safe.

No problems here on my Verizon HTC Trophy. I plugged it in on thursday afternoon and didn't even have to force an update. It took about an hour and there were several updated it had to run through. Are you sure you let it completely run through every update and didn't prematurely pull the cord on it?

I tricked Zune on Thursday and everything has been fine.

Happened to me, too. Spent a half hour going through the process and the version number didn't change.

I'm not willing to force the update as I can't afford to lose the data I have stored inthe phone.

i forced the update and it went fine for me on my trophy, it makes a backup first so no lost data even if something goes wrong.

German HTC Trophy, used in the states.. I tried to force the update, but it wouldn't work with the disconnect trick. Update finally came through on Zune. No notification on the phone. Updated to Mango, no problems
