Difference between wp8.1 and dp update

I am running win 8.1.1 dp on Lumia 520 and I am experiencing a lag... I just wanted to know that anyone running the 8.1 update(not the dp one) on 520 experience the same...

I believe if you are in the DevPrev you already have Update 1 of 8.1, so you are lacking the firmware to help your device run more optimized for it.

Yes, but Cyan more or less applies for the update from 8.0 to 8.1. You will most likely have a firmware update, Denim I believe, to take you from 8.1 to 8.1.1/Update 1.
