was looking at ordering a CR-200 Qi charging stand for the car, seeing as my cheap asda one has cut out this weekend, when looking i was notified of a newer version to the cr-200, the cr-201, does anyone know what the difference is? ive looked on nokias website and there is no info, even on the manuals.

help would be much appreciated.

Strange, still able to purchase from amazon and other stores. Will probably get the cr-201, just as it mentions its for newer phones like the 925 (mine) and the 1020, perhaps its more capable at charging while in use of satnav etc?

CR-201 is a modified to be compatible with Lumia 1520 / 1320.

CR-200 would press sidekeys while in the cradle.

That's interesting... hopefully someone with a wide range of phones and both cradles can do a comparative review.

Well, I had both, both sold CR-200 with my Lumia 1020. I know have 1520 and ordered CR-201. From what I remember, it looks entirely the same. Box says CR-201, but on the holder itself, there is CR-200. 1520 fits OK, although at max stretch, it is still tight and you don't have to really push the holder the hold the phone. Don't really see much of a difference, but maybe there would be issue with button on CR-200.

I ordered a cr-201 from Clove in the UK on Friday. Amazingly, it should be delivered (to the US) today. I don't have a 200 to compare it to, but I can take pictures of it with the 1520 for reference.

Anyone have a link where I can get one of the new modified ones? I have a 928 and want to see if it would benefit it at all in comparison to the old one. Thanks!

The answer seems to be here:
Difference between CR-200 and CR-201 - Nokia Support Discussions

"CR-201 is the new variant of CR-200. CR-201 is compatible with Lumia 1520 and replaces old variant.

Old variant:
- No openings in rubber pillows
- No buttons allowed >35mm - <57mm from the bottom of a phone
- Consumer returns due to a broken release mechanism

New variant:
- Wider compatibility due to openings in rubber pillows
- No buttons allowed >41mm - <55mm from the bottom of a phone
- Compatible with Lumia 1520
- Release mechanism fixed"

I purchased a charging stand at the Microsoft store but I don't know if it's the 200 or 201. The box says CR-200, but the grips are adjustable and feel like they would accommodate a 1520. Does the box really say CR-201 on the 201? Is there anything on the cradle itself I can use to confirm whether it's a 200 or 201?

I just bought one from the MS store as well and had the same question. I know other people have had issues with the release mechanism and I just planned on being careful with it. I didn't realize there was an updated version and I hope these haven't been sitting at the MS store and are the old one. :(

Just found this:

Nokia CR-201: о?‚к?€?‹ваем ко?€обк?ƒ - YouTube

My box does not look like that and definitely says CR-200 on the bottom. Welp we'll see how long it lasts, I only have a 1020 anyway.

Those with the cr-201 and the 1520. How are we finding the charge with the standard wiring? Does the 1520 lose charge at all whilst using here drive?

I haven's used my 201 with the 1520. Despite the "compatibility with 1520" the arms don't clamp on the 1520, you just sort of wedge it in there. Seems firm enough, but with driving vibrations and bumps, I don't have the guts to attempt it. My 201 is sitting in the box until I get a smaller phone ;)

I'm curious to see how it works with the NL Icon. I'm afraid it looks like it might clamp on the buttons.

Anyone know?

Quick favor to ask. To those who have bought the CR-201, could you look on the back of the holder (where you put your phone) and tell me the model number that's printed on the back? I just purchased one from eBay. The box says CR-201; however, the model number on the holder reads: CR-200. I'm just trying to confirm that I did/did not get what I paid for. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Justin
