Disable start up apps

Can any one tell me how to disable the automatic start up of the apps in Windows Phone 8?

What do you mean, automatic start up apps. They only open when you open it by taping on the live title or in the app list. If you are talking about the phone, email ect... you can put the phone into airplane mode.

You can also turn off the apps in the back ground from settings as well. This isn't windows 8, it is windows phone 8.
