Divvy for YNAB question

I haven't started my YNAB membership yet, but I'm wondering how I will go about having my wife and I both contribute to our budget during the day. Since Divvy only has offline capabilities, we won't know each others spending until the end of the day. Doesn't this kind of defeat the purpose of a budget when we won't really know if the money is there until later in the day?

I have been using Mint, but I'm looking for something a little more hands-on. Plus, after heartbleed, my wife isn't too keen on one place having all of our financial info.
