Hello guys
I know the windows 10 PC are free for a year then we have to pay for using it but it is the same thing on Windows 10 for phones ?

Nope! It's a different scenario!

the last paid mobile OS upgrade I remember is back in 2007-9-ish where Apple charged a fee for iPod touch updates.

The upgrade to Win10 on the PC will be free for the first year after release and afterwards those who didn't upgrade in that time will have to pay for the upgrade. It is not a subscription.

So if I upgrade my PC device to windows 10 in the first year of release I don't have to pay and it will be free forever

There is talk about Enterprises having a subscription based service for Win10, which they will receive additional stuff and services.... There is also a patent for Windows 365 which may also become a subscription as well but Windows 10 for PC's and Phones will be free.

It might even unfold that Windows 365 will be the version Enterprises (Businesses) get for their subscription.
