to answer the topic, yes.
I've definitely purchased more games/apps on WP. Sometimes just to support the ecosystem, since there are some highly rated games that I purchased and have yet to even load. On my ipad I have not spent any money buying games, but there is one f2p with iap game, puzzle & dragons, where I've spent perhaps way too much on. If that ever comes to WP, I'll probably spend even more.
Ads in games are definitely annoying, but it if it doesn't get in the way, it's ok. In a location based game like QONQR, I've purchased IAP stuff once or twice, which lets you disable the Ads for a month or so, but even when the ads are there, it's not as intrusive given that the game is not at all graphic intensive.
ultimately, my mentality with mobile games that are already cheaply priced (no thanks to apple's app store) is that I should be able to at least tip the developer a couple bucks to buy a beer. I can skip an overpriced coffee here and there to do that.
