Do you have to worry about clones or fakes for Window Phones (even the popular M8)

I purchased on off of eBay, at a fair price (about $250). I really don't think it's fake, but I want to do my due diligence before leaving a review. There are many sites and youtube videos to help me figure out a fake android HTC M8, but not Windows phone. Either no info is out there, or it's not worth the time for the scammers to produce fake windows phones. Does anyone know what else I can check to verify it's legitimacy? I've already went to settings and checked the model number. It was also shipped in the HTC One M8 At&t box which makes me feel a little more comfortable.

never heard of a windows phone being faked.... but you never know.... you could always contact HTC and verify the serial/imei numbers
