Does Anyone else have a problem with App update notification?

Well I had to hard reset my phone since I tried the app shrink storage and it froze my phone and couldn't do anything. Then I decided to soft reset and when it rebooted, it was stuck at the HTC logo then rebooted. I'm posting this since I had the store live tile not showing updates, I will post to let you know if a hard reset worked.

Generally when I get up in the morning and take my phone off the charger I have app updates awaiting. Had two this morning and three the other day. I have a white nl 920 on ATT awaiting nokia firmware update!

Is there a cure for this issue?
