Does desktop Skype automatically log out user after certain period of inactivity?

I'm rather new to using Skype, and it's not something I use often.

I noticed that I hadn't used desktop Skype for over 24 hours, and I got a pop-up asking me to log in again.

Is it normal for desktop Skype to log out a user after a certain period of inactivity? Are there any settings that keep one logged in for a longer period of time?

I don't use skype that much but I assume its a safety feature. For instance if you went to an internet cafe and forgot to log out then it will log out for you automatically after a certain amount of time to atop other people using your account
