Does MSN deserve a dedicated forum ?

We have sub forums for Skype, Bing, almost every individual MS device and now that WP Central is heading to a more Windows and MS centric view rather than just phones, would it make sense to have an MSN sub forum?

I doubt it would be the most used but it could help with questions that arise from the MSN and MSN (Formerly Bing) apps.

And to start us off here is an MSN question.

If I go to MSN on my Xbox I can see several articles that are slide shows, if I click on them the slide show works, but if I use my laptop or Surface pro I can see them but when I click all I get is a black area, I can see the slides at the bottom but clicking on them doesn't do anything.

It is probably a setting in IE but what one?

I have no idea. I only looked at the MSN site once (in Firefox Nightly) when I viewed it after getting an email from Microsoft. I don't own any game consoles.

You disappoint me Laura, you haven't bought into the One future yet, now get down to those shops and get yourself an Xbox One

Just had a look in the Bing forum and it is a mixture of Bing apps and Bing search so I suppose either a name change or sub-sub forum would work.

I'm so excited about the MSN brand name being revived, I'm waiting for CompuServe next....

Seriously, of all the poor marketing decisions MSFT has made, this has to rank pretty highly....

Personally I would have thought the name "Bing" would have been the top one.

I do understand where you are coming from, MSN is something from the past for me, but it does tie in nicely with the renamed apps and with the portal part of it could give a lot of help to the "Three screens and a cloud" idea.

Although it does need a few tweeks yet.

I have put a post in the Bing forum to see what people think, being the bottom of the list it may not be the busiest forum but lets see what comes out of it.

Marketing people have to fill their rice bowls too, you know. But I also am curious about who the new MSN site is for. Teenagers? College students? People at work? Stay at home soccer moms or dads? Senior citizens?

The new MSN site is nicely put together but it isn't a first read. If I do read something from the site, it's usually because I clicked on a link in Bing or another site. So I rarely ever see the front page, thankfully because I don't care for big in your face slideshows.
