I'm talking about the screen lag (between 1 and 5 seconds) when you wake up your device sometimes.

Has Nokia finally been able to fix this issue with the latest firmware 1600.3036.8858.12460?

Well It does happen SOMETIMES with my device (NL710) with the above mentioned firmware but the frequency of delay is far lesser. Normally waking up is pretty snappy but it lags once in a while.

Interesting, will look for it. but does not seem like a definite improvement.
It is pretty annoying, often causes me to press the button twice cuz it responds slowly.

**** yea its annoying. This thing is laggy as ****!! Surfing the net with this thing is frustrating at times. I particularly dislike it when I type and the on-screen characters are delayed by several seconds.

I can reproduce screen lag on my HTC 8S folowing this procedure:

- put phone in airplane/flight mode
- lock screen for 5 minutes
- press power button to unlock screen

It takes up 10 seconds to wake up.

It fixes it, I'm on the newest (8862) lag is also nonexistent when opening apps and tiles are fixed.

Actually, the results may vary. Since the problem involves firmware, only those with Stock ROMs can flash them. I couldn't flash the latest Nokia firmware since my ROM (now abandoned) wouldn't let Bluetooth Share and BT File Transfer work properly. Any attempts to flash the firmware to my device now running RainbowMod 2.1 will result in an installation error, stating that the file already exists. (It lists itself as 8779 firmware in Settings>about, although lucifer3006 said that it contained the neccessary drivers from build 8853 and such to use Bluetooth Share.)
